I purchased this case from a local retailer a couple days after getting my 3G iPhone. Upon putting it into the case, it had NO scratches. Being that the polycarbonate screen tends to get dust and particles under it once being placed in your pocket, you are forced to clean it on occasion.A few days later, when I went to clean the screen, and removed the case from the phone, I noticed it had rubbed the Gloss Coating from the black surface of the phone. Great case, but bad screen cover
The case is very nice. Fits like a glove, and is neither too slick or too sticky/rubbery. However, the plastic screen cover does not fit perfectly and results in bubbles on the screen that you simply cannot get rid of. I am going to have to buy some separate screen protectors to use with this case. Not the end of the world...

Griffin Elan Form only half right
The clear cover is hard to install & leaves moisture & dirt underneath. Use an invisashield screen cover instead. The leather back cover is a nice fit.

Excellent Leather shield
A good leather shield which gives you a sturdy feel of you iphone. The leather shield has an interior thick plastic which gives good protection to the iphone. Dropped iphone twice but nothing happened.
During invisible shield installation, i had a tough time fitting it without bubbles. Since the invisible shield is thicker than the regular shields, difficult to the push the bubbles out.
Overall : Worth for the leather case.
